faculty and administrators in providing a high quality education to students with these
impairments.

Section 4: Socio-emotional and Psychological Issues
Section 4 provides an overview of socio-emotional and psychological issues that can be seen
in the college student body and discusses how these issues can impact a classroom. It also
provides suggestions on dealing with these issues to provide the highest quality education
for the entire class group.

Section 5: Cultural Considerations and Diversity
Section 5 discusses the concept of cultural diversity and provides an overview of the related
issues in higher education and how diversity awareness impacts student success and student
retention. Strategies for increasing diversity awareness are proposed for both the classroom
and institution as a whole.
